Rep. Christine Chandler To Speak At Thursday’s League Of Women Voters’ Lunch With A Leader

The League of Women Voters’ community event, Lunch with a Leader is slated for noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15 on Zoom.

This month’s leader is Rep. Christine Chandler. Christine will be reviewing this year’s exciting legislative session and  discuss her first time introduced and passed sick leave for all workers.

She is a lawyer who grew up in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Smith College, Juris Doctor from the Boston College of Law School and Master of Laws in international and comparative law from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Prior to serving in the House, Rep Chandler was a judge for the Los Alamos County Probate Court, a member of the Los Alamos County Council and has operated a private law practice. She served as chair of the Council in 1999 and vice chair in 2018. Christine served as senior counsel at the Los Alamos National Security as well. She began her term as state representative in January 2019 and was reelected to her second term in 2020.
