Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op Steps To Fundraise For New Co-Op Park At Central Avenue And 10th Street

CO-OP PARK NEWS

To support the new Co-Op Park in Downtown Los Alamos, Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op announced today that proceeds from the sale of its new seasonal ale dubbed Co-Op Brown Ale will benefit the new park.

One dollar of every Co-Op Brown Ale sold will go to helping fund the construction of Co-Op Park.

“We are a co-op, and we know that supporting all of Los Alamos’ member-owned co-ops is key to growing our community. At Bathtub Row, co-operative values are key to our success and we want to share our success with the community,” said Rob Hipwood, assistant manager of Bathtub Row. “Our Brown Ale is a seasonal favorite, and we’ve been itching to bring it back on tap at our brewery.”

The new Co-Op Park, on Central and 10th in Los Alamos, will be adjacent to the new Los Alamos Schools Credit Union headquarters. It will provide a place for food vendors, music, and community gatherings. Our cooperative events have included Shred Days for credit union members, allowing them to safely shred personal papers, and we’ve also sponsored the successful  Los Alamos Summer Concert Series, and more together.

Co-Op Park will officially open on July 3, 2021, which is World Co-Op Day. But we are now launching a GoFundMe cahttps://www.gofundme.com/f/coop-park campaign to cover some of our construction costs for this monumental undertaking. You can find more at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/coop-park.

Locally, our Keep it Co-Op members include: Los Alamos Schools Credit Union, Del Norte Credit Union, Little Forest Playschool, Zia Credit Union, Los Alamos Co-Op Market, and Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op.
