LARSO NEWS
The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization wishes to thank the community and members for donations made duuring the last month. The board and staff continue to look at funding issues and opportunities available to us as the fiscal year comes to a close. Many changes will need to be addressed as we learn about more funding made available to the senior centers by recent legislation and grants prior to June 30.
The centers’ re-opening is not contingent on the County’s status on the Department of Health’s COVID-19 map which is currently turquoise but on guidance from the Governor, the State and the County. We can only assume that the vaccination of seniors 60-74 would need to take place prior to re-opening the centers.
LARSO is also looking for three additions to the Board of Directors which currently serves via Zoom. Those interested are welcome to contact Director@losalamosseniorcenter.com for additional details.
