LOS ALAMOS GARDEN CLUB NEWS

Los Alamos Garden Club is pleased to present its 2021 scholarship award of $1,500 to graduating Los Alamos High School senior Isabella Martinez Pruet.

Isabella is a dedicated community service volunteer.  She is a member and also current president of the LAHS Key Club.  She participated in the African Library Project, the Self Help Gala, the recycled art show, the drive through flu clinic and the homeless shelter supply drive.  She has been a volunteer at the Espanola Animal Shelter and currently works at the North Mesa Stables as a stable hand. 

Isabella plans to attend the University of North Texas to pursue a degree in biochemistry. After college she wants to enlist in the Peace Corps in order to help communities better understand environmental issues and protect their local environments.

her well in her future endeavors.
