Los Alamos County Manager Harry Burgess late Friday afternoon confirmed reports that the County’s Chief Building Official Michael Arellano is no longer employed by the County. As expected, Burgess declined to make any further comment as the details of Arellano’s departure are a personnel matter. Arelleno joined the County staff in February 2017. Prior to relocating to Los Alamos County, he had 25 years of experience in Coppell, Tex., Wheat Ridge, Colo., Farmington and Rio Rancho.
