Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8874 is stepping up Saturday, Feb. 13 to raise funds for LA Cares. Although the event is primarily to raise money due to shifting needs in the community and lack of storage space, donations of nonperishable food items will also be accepted.

VFW members will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the VFW Post, 1793 Deacon Street. Vehicles should enter the parking lot via Deacon Street and exit on to Trinity Drive. All COVID guidelines will be strictly adhered to during the event.

Los Alamos Co-Op Market has again graciously donated hot dogs for the event and a free hot dog and a soda will be given to anyone who comes through the drive-through area to make a contribution. The VFW wishes to thank the Co-Op for their generous and continued support of the community.
