Pursuant to the official Call for the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) Spring 2021 State  Central Committee (SCC) meeting, I am writing to provide you with the call to the Los Alamos County Ward meetings and County Central Committee meeting. 

We are required by DPNM Rules to hold a County Central Committee (CCC) meeting in odd numbered years for the purposes of electing county party officers and DPNM SCC members to  represent our county. This year, we will be electing county party officers, 7 SCC members and 37 CCC members. All Democrats registered in Los Alamos County as of January 27, 2021 are  eligible and encouraged to participate. Ward meeting and convention registration will be  between Jan. 30 and Feb. 12, 2021. 

Our ward meetings will be held on Feb. 27, with elections taking place between Feb. 24 and Feb. 26. Our CCC meeting will be held on March 27 with elections taking place  between March 23 and March 25. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the public health orders in effect in our state, we  will be unable to conduct these meetings via in-person gatherings as we did in previous years.  

As a result, in conjunction with the DPNM Rules allowing for meetings to be held virtually and  for voting pursuant to those meetings to be held via absentee balloting, our ward and CCC  meetings will be virtual and the associated elections will be held via absentee balloting.
