It’s your last chance to get tickets for the Backcountry Film Festival, sponsored by Century Bank! The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is hosting the sixteenth season of this award winning festival, which you can enjoy from the comfort of home this weekend. The festival will go live on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. In addition to the festival, PEEC is teaming up with Century Bank, Pajarito Brewpub and other partners to offer an exciting raffle and special offers!
Produced each year as a celebratory backcountry community event by the Winter Wildlands Alliance, the Backcountry Film Festival film line-up is full of snowy, cinematic adventure sure to inspire both the local backcountry and general communities. Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snow sports experience on public lands.
Through PEEC’s partnerships with the Winter Wildlands Alliance, funds raised from this event help support PEEC’s snow school programming. Ticket holders are helping more kids get outside in the snow to learn about the places we love. Order tickets for PEEC’s screening of the Backcountry Film Festival here. You’ll receive instructions via email on how to view this event virtually, starting at 6 p.m. MST on Jan. 21. Ticket holders will have 72 hours to watch the festival! Admission is $15 per individual and $30 per household.
Still want to say “cheers!” and kick back with a beverage while you watch? Complete your Backcountry Film Festival celebration with food and drinks from Pajarito Brewpub and Grill. Ticket holders will receive one free drink, courtesy of Century Bank, plus a discount hold for 15% off their order via email! The code can be used to eat-in on the patio or for a takeout order any time during the Backcountry Film Festival screening weekend. The offer will be active from Thursday, Jan. 21 through Monday, Jan. 25.
Last of all, buy your tickets now for the annual Backcountry Film Festival raffle! You could win a new pair of skis, gift cards to local restaurants, outdoor gear, a night at The Blake at Taos Ski Valley and more at this PEEC fundraiser. Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased through PEEC’s online store here. Participants can purchase as many tickets as they’d like!
For the first time ever, you do not need to attend the film festival to purchase raffle tickets. Raffle sales end on Monday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m., then join PEEC for a live drawing at 7 p.m. on Zoom and Facebook Live. You do not need to be present to win, but the Zoom meeting link will be emailed to raffle ticket holders before the drawing. Prize pickup will be coordinated with winners via email following the drawing.
