Los Alamos County Community Services is excited to celebrate and congratulate Head Golf Professional Michael Phillips for being named as a Master Kids Coach for the third year in a row.
“I have been fortunate to work with Michael at both Golf and Ice for close to 20 years and his dedication to youth programming at both facilities, and how much he enjoys working with all ages, shows in his actions. It’s also shown through the smiles and enthusiasm expressed by those who’ve had him as an ice skating instructor, golf instructor, or both.” stated Dianne Marquez, the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Division Leader.
Since 2008, U.S. Kids Golf has named Master Kids Coaches to honor instructors for their ongoing efforts in growing the game of golf among kids. These individuals have earned the distinction of Master Kids Coach by winning the Top 50 Kids Coach Award three times. Being named a Master Kids Coach is the highest honor an instructor can receive from U.S. Kids Golf. There are 197 teachers who have received this honor, 15 of whom joined the ranks in 2020.
Congratulations Michael and thank you for your passion and dedication to our community!
