Test your nature knowledge at Trivia Tuesday night with the Pajarito Environmental Education Center! PEEC will host its first-ever trivia night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 via Zoom. Challenge friends old and new at this interactive program and compete for prizes! This month, there will be three rounds of trivia and questions will focus on New Mexico fun facts, snow and winter wildlife.
Prizes for January’s Triva Tuesday game will include $30 in Chamber Checks and a 2021 PEEC photo contest calendar for the first place winner, a PEEC hat and sticker for the second place winner and a $5 PEEC gift card and a sticker for the third place winner.
“A huge thank you to the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce for their support!” said Kristen O’Hara, PEEC’s Director of Interpretation.
Trivia Tuesdays will take place via Zoom on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. going forward. Along with Zoom, PEEC will be using the platform Kahoot! to host trivia nights and participants will use it to answer questions. Kahoot! can be accessed either on a mobile device or through a second browser window. Registration is required to get the event link and password. Go to peecnature.org/events to find out more, get additional instructions and sign up!
PEEC was founded in 2000 to serve the community of Los Alamos. It offers people of all ages a way to enrich their lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains and skies. PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road, holds regular programs and events and hosts a number of interest groups from birding to hiking to butterfly watching. The Los Alamos Nature Center is currently closed due to COVID-19, but there are many ways to learn about nature and interact with PEEC online. PEEC activities are open to everyone; however, members receive exclusive benefits such as discounts on programs and merchandise. Annual memberships start at $35.
