Los Alamos National Laboratory COVID Cases At 457 As Of Friday, Los Alamos County At 233

Los Alamos National Laboratory on Friday confirmed 457 COVID-19 cases among staff with 325 fully-recovered. The Lab has conducted some 11,591 tests to date and approximately 80 percent of employees are working from home.

The number of cases in Los Alamos County on Friday was listed by the Department of Health at 233. As of Friday afternoon, Los Alamos Public Schools listed 30 students and 9 staff members as having tested positive. Six of the students are from Los Alamos Middle School and 18 are from Los Alamos High School/Topper Freshman Academy. Five students are from the five elementary schools and one from the Online Academy.

The breakdown in age groups for Los Alamos County listed by the state as of December 14 is as follows:

The percentage of females as of December 14 was listed as 52.19 percent and males at 47.81 percent.
