Trinity On The Hill Announces Christmas Cookies To Go-Go

TRINITY ON THE HILL NEWS

Fill your home with Christmas treats while supporting a good cause this holiday season! Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church’s House of Hope house building mission team is sponsoring a new fundraiser this year called “Christmas Cookies to Go-Go! “

We may not be able to gather in large groups to enjoy cookies at various events, but you can enjoy delicious, homemade cookies in your own home or purchase cookies for a friend. Additionally, you will be helping Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church with an important mission-building a home for a family in Juarez. These are difficult times for everyone but are especially devastating for families struggling to obtain daily resources. Working side by side with the family themselves is truly a gift to all involved. We will be working on the “House of Hope” project led by a group called Mission’s Ministries who provides many services from medical care, to after school programs and most amazingly to assisting with home building for financially challenged families in Juarez.

This will be Trinity on the Hill’s 20th house building project! We hope to be able to get our hands dirty and personally assist with construction, but if this is not possible this year due to COVID-19, rest assured the money raised will be sent to build a home regardless of our physical presence. All proceeds from the cookie sale will go directly to this fundraising effort.

The Christmas cookie box will include 18 delicious samplings of Christmas cookies or treats. All food items will be handmade from scratch by team members and friends, offering a sweet feast for the eyes, as well as the palate.  Boxes may be ordered online by visiting http://latoth.org/christmas-cookies-to-go-go/ . The price is $30 per box. Quantities are limited so you will want to order early, ordering ends Dec. 17.

Pickup of the Christmas Cookie Box will be Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, at Trinity on the Hill Kelly Hall, 3900 Trinity Drive. Pickup will be contactless.

As our mission team builds hope, we hope this endeavor will help bring people joy in small ways as they enjoy the goodies – all from an acceptable 6 foot social distance and wearing a holiday mask!
