Los Alamos County is “in the red” on the Department of Health’s map for the period November 17-30. The reason is the County has a positivity rate of 6 percent, a percentage point above the 5 percent limit. The County averaged 8 daily cases or more per 100,000.

The updated map may be viewed at https://cvprovider.nmhealth.org/public-dashboard.html

The red status will now remain in effect until Dec. 16 when the governor is again expected to update the map. San Miguel County is now the only one in the yellow category.

There has been no news release from the state or the County since the map was updated. Keep an eye on the Los Alamos Reporter for updates.
