Second Graders Collecting Pet Treats For Los Alamos Animal Shelter

Daisy McCulloch and other Los Alamos Online Academy 2nd graders are collecting donations of pet treats to benefit the Los Alamos Animal Shelter. The class’s teacher, Kati Steinberg, asked the 2nd graders what they could do to help make the world a better place.  Daisy and her class decided that they wanted to help the LA animal shelter.  She said,  “Two of my pets are from the shelter,  and it is important to help animals that don’t have a home. My class decided that even though we are kids,  we can make the world a better place by being kind to animals”. The class is asking for donations of pet treats or food in unopened containers.  Monetary donations also accepted; all proceeds will go directly to shelter. Monetary donations may be made at https://gf.me/u/y838hs Items can be dropped off in her collection box at 341 Potrillo Drive in White Rock through Nov. 30. Courtesy photo
