Bandelier National Monument Limits Indoor Services Temporarily, Sirphey’s Cafe Remains Open

BANDELIER NATIONAL MONUMENT NEWS

In support of New Mexico Public Health Order 2020-080, and to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, Bandelier National Monument is temporarily limiting indoor services. Effective November 16, the Bandelier visitor center, museum, and theater are temporarily closed until further notice. America the Beautiful passes cannot be obtained. The park store operated by Western National Parks Association will also be closed during this time.

All outdoor facilities including the Pueblo Loop Trail, Alcove House, Tsankawi, and backcountry trails and backpacking will remain accessible. Juniper Family Campground and park restrooms also remain open. Sirphey’s Café remains open for takeout 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Entrance fees must be paid at the automated fee machine by credit card at the entrance station as you drive into Frijoles Canyon, or at the automated fee machine at Tsankawi. Please display all passes on your vehicle’s dashboard while in the park.The health and wellbeing of visitors and park employees remains our top priority. We continue to work closely with the NPS Office of Public Health using CDC guidance to ensure public areas and workspaces are safe and clean for visitors, employees, partners, and volunteers.
