Obituary: Lorie C. Torres – Nov. 6, 2020

Lorie C. Torres, 42, a resident of Los Alamos, was called home unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2020 after a week of battling injuries sustained in a car accident.

Lorie was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, auntie, Godmother, niece, cousin and friend. She touched many lives with her words of encouragement, acts of kindness and unconditional love. She
loved the Lord her God with all of her heart, mind, soul and strength and is now living eternally in His presence.

Lorie is survived by her Beloved Sons, Robert and Isaac Torres and their Father, Robert Torres; parents whom she loved dearly, Minnie Martinez (Orlando) and Ted Pacheco; siblings whom she loved dearly, Michelle Pacheco, Angelo Pacheco, Yolanda Baca (Roberto “Berdo”), and Geraldine Heft (Dave); Lifetime friend whom she loved as a sister, Tracy Martinez (Paul); nieces and nephews whom she adored, Casey Montoya, Angelina Pacheco, Michael Pacheco, Reyna Baca Goddaughter), Andres Baca, Joaquin Baca, Cruz Baca, Jasmine Heft, Joshua Heft, Jessa Heft, Tiana Martinez, Angel Martinez and Lawrence Martinez; dear friend of the family whom she loved as a nephew, Miguel Sustaita; precious primita and friend, Christine Romero (Anthony); beloved San Diego, CA Life Christian Center Pastors whom she loved as Spiritual Parents, Rocky and Emlyn Martinez and her entire LCC Church Family. And numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all of whom she held dear to her heart.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Truth Ministries Calvary Chapel in Arroyo Seco. Burial immediately following at the El Buen Pastor Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Robert Torres, Isaac Torres,
Andres Baca, Casey Montoya, Miguel Sustaita and Javier Duarte. Honorary pallbearers are, Joaquin and Cruz Baca. The family of Lorie C. Torres has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
