LANL Marks Rudolfo Anaya I Love To Read Day With Reading And Distribution Of ‘No More Bullies” For Area Schools

To mark the state of New Mexico’s Rudolfo Anaya I Love To Read Day on Oct. 30 (the late author’s birthday), Los Alamos National Laboratory hosted a recorded reading of his book, No More Bullies, by Laboratory employee volunteer Mary Beth Lujan for 3rd grade students from EspanÞola, Taos and Santa Fe schools. Laboratory operator Triad National Security, LLC provided two copies of the book to each of the 20 classrooms that took part. Best known for his novel Bless Me, Ultima, Anaya is often called the Father of Chicano Literature and is remembered as a champion for literacy.
