Y Auction Closes 8 P.M. On Halloween

This is the last week to bid on exclusive gifts and items, including an inlay necklace donated by Bennett’s Fine Jewelry, a helicopter ride, a conference call with LANL Director Thomas Mason, art, and imported Irish whiskey, the sales of which will benefit The Family YMCA’s financial assistance program to help 300 individuals and support the Española YMCA Teen Center.

The Y’s YGala20.givesmart.com page also includes the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket for $20 to win $1000, and to make outright donations. The Y’s “Be The Light” Campaign and auction closes at 8 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31. Interested individuals may also get to the auction by texting YGala20 to 76278.

The theme of the Y’s online auction is captured by this video of people being a light in darkness (https://youtu.be/_Nhh5jDEIf8). It features local Y staff and members, and was created by Y staffer Janine Morales.

The site also features stories of impact and a short video from Nashville singer James Carothers.
