Los Alamos County Council is slated to hold a virtual workshop session at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening to hear a presentation on the current status of the Downtown Master Plans and Development Code Update project by the County’s project consultant Dekker, Perich, Sabatini.
The presentation will include a summary of the process to date and input received through surveys, visioning workshops and design workshops for both Los Alamos and White Rock townsites.
The White Rock visioning workshop was attended by 87 people while 2,800 responded to the survey during and after the meeting. Some 140 participants took part in a follow-up survey which had more than 5,000 responses. The White Rock design workshop was attended by more than 40 people.
The Los Alamos visioning workshop had 104 participants with 3,500 survey responses during and after the meeting. Some 270 particpants were involved in the follow-up survey which received more than 10,500 responses and the Los Alamos design workshop was attended by more than 50 people.
Input from the public will be accepted for two weeks following Tuesday’s meeting and will be considered along with the input received Tuesday evening from Council. A draft plan for the two downtowns will then be prepared by the consultant.
Also on the agend is a discussion of broadband and a briefing by the Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board.
