The Galisteo String Quartet Plays For Virtual Brown Bag Concert Wednesday

This Wednesday, Oct. 21 from noon to 1 p.m., the Los Alamos Arts Council will be hosting a virtual brown bag concert featuring The Galisteo String Quartet. This will be the Quartet’s third brown bag concert.

The members of The Galisteo String Quartet, Janet Cordova and Julanna Gilbert (violins), Kathleen Neher (viola) and Robert Coombe (cello), live in the Santa Fe/Los Alamos area. 

They have played with various musical groups for many years and met through mutual musical friends.  They have been playing and performing together in Santa Fe and Los Alamos for three years. 

The program will include Mozart’s String Quartet No. 21 in D Major and Golijov’s Tenebrae for String Quartet

The Los Alamos Arts Council has been hosting the Brown Bag concert series for the last 47 years. Since the COVID outbreak, the Arts Council has moved these concerts online in order to keep up its continued support of music in the community.
