Los Alamos Police Department Raises $800 For Special Olympics New Mexico

Los Alamos Police Department employees raised nearly $800 this week for Special Olympics New Mexico by purchasing T-shirts at work, selling T-shirts at the Farmer’s Market and raising awareness for local Special Olympics athletes who were represented by Sam Zimmerly (holding torch). Because of the ongoing pandemic, LAPD will not be doing the Torch Run from Los Alamos to Jemez Springs this year so their options for fundraising are limited. For information on how to donate to the fundraiser or purchase a T-shirt, call Cmdr. Oliver Morris, (505) 662-8281. Photo by Greg Holland
