Los Alamos Family Council Offers Bulk Shredding Nov. 7 As Fundraiser To Support Mental Health Services

Los Alamos Family Council (LAFC) will be hosting two hours of bulk shredding to the public as a fundraiser to support services in the counseling center. The shred event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday Nov. 7. outside the LAFC counseling center offices at 1505 15th Street., Suite C.

LAFC staff and volunteers, following COVID Safe Practices, will assist in unloading boxes and bags of paper for shredding and loading them into the shredding truck where all paper items will be destroyed on site.

Suggested donation per box of shred is $15. There is no limit to number of boxes per person, but the shred truck capacity will determine the number of boxes that will be accepted. Further specific information, including details of lining up, will be released the week prior to the event.

LAFC serves Los Alamos and surrounding communities through two programs: our counseling center and the youth activity centers. The funding raised during this event will directly support mental and behavioral health services within the counseling center.
