On Sunday at approximately 11:20 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal crash involving two vehicles on New Mexico 14, near milepost 19 south of Madrid.
The initial investigation indicates a 2009 Dodge pickup was traveling south on New Mexico 14 and a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north. The driver of the Dodge, a 17-year-old male of Edgewood made a left turn on New Mexico 14 crossing over the northbound lanes. The Dodge was struck on the front passenger side by the Harley Davidson which was driven by Kevin Ray Forsberg, 32, of Albuquerque. The driver of Harley Davidson, Forsberg sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and he was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator. The driver of the Dodge was uninjured.
This crash remains under investigation by the New Mexico State Police with the assistance of the New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction Team and Aerial Drone Unit. No other information is currently available.
