LAHS NEWS

Los Alamos High School will host a virtual Financial Aid Night for Class of 2021 Seniors and parents on Monday, Oct. 5. The school counselors will open a Google Meet at 5:30 p.m. to present additional information on the FAFSA and also answer your questions. A video and handout were emailed to all LAHS seniors on Oct. 1. All interested students and parents are encouraged to review the material prior to the Google Meet and then log into the Meet if you have questions.

The school counseling team of Cindy Black, Cristin Haake and Rebecca Dawn Watkins, will provide information about FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), CSS Profile, Scholarships, Grants, Work Study programs and loan programs.

“This is an important first step for seniors and parents in planning how to pay for college,” said Mrs. Black. “With the skyrocketing costs of higher education, it is important to explore all the options available and complete any necessary paperwork as soon as possible.”

The FAFSA for the 2021–2022 school year opened October 1, 2020.
