We are writing this letter to encourage other members of our community who work at Los Alamos National Laboratory to give to the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation through the lab’s giving campaign.
We give to LAPSF this way so that our contributions will be increased to the foundation and make an even greater impact to assist teachers at the schools in our district.
We have been fortunate to have had three daughters graduate from the LAPS schools and while we were able to contribute to their individual teachers, we found that the foundation was able to benefit all teachers in the district that may have needs.
In addition, Kathy was able to be the receiver of a grant from the foundation to assist in purchasing digital probes for use in the chemistry lab at LAHS before her retirement. She also participated in a professional book club where the foundation purchased the books for the teachers.
The LAPS Foundation is a worthwhile way to donate to help strengthen and encourage our public schools teachers, which in turn, assists them to provide the children in our schools with the best learning possible.
Even a small, regular contribution from each paycheck makes a huge difference to the foundation and will show how much our community supports our teachers and student learning. In these uncertain times, please join us in helping the foundation support our teachers with resources to explore the very best learning methods and tools.
