Did you know that New Mexico is one of only 3 states that currently bans indoor dining? It’s time to ease up on restrictions and restore indoor dining up to 50% capacity. Let’s stop unfairly penalizing our restaurants and their employees.

While we’re at it, let’s make some common sense tweaks, like allowing full use of the North Mesa Horse Stables and the Brewer, Dressage and Multi-Covered Arenas in the same way the golf course is now open. The users of those facilities should be able to social distance at least as well as those who use the golf course.

Another change that needs to be made is to ease up on the 14 day quarantine for out of state visitors, which is killing our tourism, hospitality, and outdoor recreation industry. I recommend starting with Senator Heinrich’s July 31 call to allow visitors into the state without quarantine who have tested negative for Covid-19 in the last 72 hours.
