Photographer Blake Wood ran into the Valle Seco and to the top of Cerro San Luis Sunday morning from Sulphur Springs in the Valles Caldera National Preserve. Wood says living in Los Alamos, it is easy to forget that there are still meadows and pine- and fir-covered mountains, untouched by the wildfires of the past two decades, only an hour drive into the Jemez Mountains.
