COUNTY NEWS

A special Los Alamos ScienceFest version of Los Alamos County’s Movies in the Park series; Drive-in style, has sold out!

We will be screening The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones in honor of this year’s ScienceFest theme, “Eyes On the Future.” This unrated 1987 made-for-television film runs approximately 1.5 hours and is family-friendly! The drive-in is made possible with generous support by Central Park Square owner Philip Kunsberg and his team.

The movie will be held at the Central Park Square North Parking Lot at dusk (about 8:30pm) to 10:00pm. Sound will be provided via an audio broadcast outside of vehicles. Admission begins at 7:30pm. The Central Park Square North Parking Lot is located behind (to the East) of Pet Pangaea and projectY cowork.

Registrants will be receiving the attached map detailing instructions for entering and exiting the Central Park Square North Parking Lot (off Nectar St.).  Staff will also be on-site to guide you to your location the evening of the event.

Admission begins at 7:30pm. Cars will not be admitted after 8:30pm to preserve the drive-in experience for other movie-goers. Please bring a copy of your receipt and ID the day of the event. Only vehicles that can show proof of registration will be allowed access to the Drive-in event.

Social distancing is required throughout this event. Per the CDC and the New Mexico Governor’s Office, drive-in movies are an event that require attendees to wear face coverings when exiting vehicles. We ask that everyone refrain from gathering in groups outside their vehicles. There will be restroom access through projectY cowork, located on the West end of the parking lot.

This free event is brought to you by Los Alamos County, Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District, and Central Park Square. For questions, please contact lauren@losalamos.org.
