Los Alamos Arts Council And Fuller Lodge Art Center Continue Their Gallery Shows

40 winks dates

ART NEWS

Los Alamos Arts Council and the Fuller Lodge Art Center are pleased to announce the latest installment to the Online Gallery Shows at Fuller Lodge Art Center. The enhanced Online Gallery presence began in April of 2020, allowing artists from the show “Green Thumb” to present their artwork to the community and worldwide while the Gallery was closed due to COVID-19. Artist Diane Stoffel is also showing her solo Portal Gallery exhibition “Black Mesa Majesty” online.

Although the Gallery has now re-opened to the public, the Online Gallery’s enormous success has prompted LAAC to continue with the Artful Exhibits. The virtual and live exhibition is “40 Winks,” a unique show with 40 pieces of artwork. Inspired by dreams, “40 Winks” shows the expressive paintings, etchings, and pen and ink worlds of featured artist, Alexis Palmaffy. Alexis is a former Los Alamos resident with an amazing style that resonates well with a show all about dreaming. The Los Alamos Community might recognize her from her henna work at many Arts and Crafts shows.

Visitors can go to the Fuller Lodge Art Center Webpage www.fullerldogeartcenter.com and select the banner for “40 Winks” or www.artfullexhibits.com to see the current exhibits. Patrons can purchase pieces from artfullexhibits.com. “Black Mesa Majesty” is also still available on the website. The shows are currently available, and purchases can be made through July 25th.

Patrons who wish to see the exhibits in person are welcome to come to the Gallery, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fuller Lodge Art Center is now open in the Gallery Shop and Gallery Space and welcomes visitors.
