Join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) and Los Alamos Creative District for a virtual Nature On Tap event on Monday, July 6 at 5:30 p.m. Audience members will hear from some of our local land managers, who will give updates on the trails and open spaces that they help oversee. Eric Peterson of Los Alamos County, Scott McFarland of Bandelier National Monument, Jennifer Sublett of the U.S. Forest Service and Karla Sartor from Los Alamos National Laboratory will all be speaking during this event.
Residents of Los Alamos County can access almost 60 miles of trails in the Los Alamos County Open Space network. In addition to that, they have easy access to trails managed by the National Park Service, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the U.S. Forest Service. Panelists will discuss outdoor opportunities that exist close to home, new updates on trails or other developments, and the latest information on trail and facility closures due to COVID-19.
Viewers can join the discussion and ask questions about outdoor activities they can participate in locally, staying safe outside, the updates from the land managers and more.
This event is free to attend, but registration is required on PEEC’s website. The event will take place via Zoom and registrants will receive an email confirmation with a link and password needed to join the broadcast.
