The Albuquerque FBI Division will host a live Twitter chat focused on coronavirus-related scams and frauds on Friday starting at 10 a.m.
FBI agents will answer questions about the threats being observed related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the public can avoid them.
Participants can submit questions to @FBIAlbuquerque using the hashtag #AskFBI during the event or in advance.
“Unfortunately, during this stressful time for so many Americans, fraudsters are ramping up their efforts to steal your money, personal information, or both,” said James Langenberg, special agent in charge of the Albuquerque FBI Division. “The FBI and our partners want everyone to have the latest information so you can avoid becoming a victim.”
