Public Attendance To Be Prohibited At Board Of Utilities Meeting

Public in-person attendance at the March 25, Board of Public Utilities (BPU) meeting will be prohibited in accordance with the Public Health Emergency Order Closing All Businesses and Non-Profit Entities Except for those Deemed Essential and Providing Additional Restrictions on Mass Gatherings Due to COVID-19 issued from the New Mexico Department of Health on March 23. Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities encourage citizens to live-stream the meeting and submit public comment via email.

The BPU meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 and will take place in Council Chambers at 1000 Central Ave., Los Alamos. To comply with the Order, the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will have minimal staff in Council chambers to present to the BPU. BPU members will participate by phone.

BPU and DPU encourage public comment be provided via email to bpu@lacnm.us. Citizens are advised to write PUBLIC COMMENT in the subject line of the email. In the body include a name, address, whether the comment relates to a specific agenda item and the comment.  Comments will be read into the record at the appropriate section of the agenda.

The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) operates the county-owned electric, gas, water & wastewater systems under the jurisdiction of the Board of Public Utilities.
