The Regional Development Corporation is pleased to announce the inaugural round of Micro-Grant awardees. The Micro-Grant fund is part of our Business Retention & Expansion Program that provides small businesses, regional startups, and tribal communities funding opportunities and one-on-one technical assistance to help build and sustain a vibrant local economy.
There were close to 50 applications submitted for Micro-Grants and 13 businesses received funding of up to $2,500. The RDC will provide technical assistance to all applicants.
The businesses awarded represent a diverse range of products and services that continue to fuel our local economy and offer employment throughout northern New Mexico. Awardees range from Cloud Nine Trails in Rowe (San Miguel County), which offers horseback trail rides through the Santa Fe National Forest and Pecos Wilderness, to the eclectic Sugar Nymphs Bistro in Peñasco (Taos County), a great place to eat on the High Road to Taos.
