It was a busy day Tuesday for the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office as County Clerk Naomi Maestas and her staff processed the paperwork for a dozen candidates who filed for state and local offices, including Maestas herself who is seeking reelection.
Six candidates filed for three seats on the Los Alamos County Council. Councilors Pete Sheehey, Antonio Maggiore and Katrina Martin are not running to retain their seats.
