LAPD NEWS

The Los Alamos Police Department will be having Coffee with a Cop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday Mar. 18 at Starbucks, 1801 Central Ave.

Starbucks and LAPD wish to strengthen the community by having conversations that matter.  Coffee with Cop is a casual atmosphere where citizens and visitors can have conversations with local police officers, share community concerns and break down any barriers to find mutually beneficial goals for Los Alamos.  

LAPD will also be sharing why they choose to partner with Special Olympics New Mexico and local Special Olympic Athletes will attend the event. Law Enforcement has been partnering with Special Olympics since 1981, helping to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics program.  LAPD earned the Bronze award for its work with Special Olympics New Mexico in 2019.
