Chris Ortega And Victor Valenzuela Take Gold In Basketball At Arizona Senior Olympics

image0Long-time Los Alamos basketball champions Chris Ortega and Victor Valenzuela were invited to team up Feb. 15 with four players from Durango and Cortez, Colo., the ‘Four Corner’s to play in the 70-74 years old division of the Arizona Senior Olympics. Team members who took gold in their division are, top row from left, Mark Johnson and Roger Russell. Bottom row: Ortega, Jack Rogers, Dan Marshall and Valenzuela. Ortega and Valenzuela started out their association with the State Senior Olympics in 1997 at aged 50 and have played every year since.
