Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities advise that its office, including the Customer Care Center, will be closed for two hours on the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 12. DPU will hold its annual all-hands meeting for employees to review with senior management the department’s mission and strategy for the upcoming year. The office at 1000 Central Avenue, Suite 130, Los Alamos, will open at 10 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.
The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) operates the county-owned electric, gas, water & wastewater systems under the jurisdiction of the Board of Public Utilities. Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos, NM. The public is welcome. Funded by rates paid for electric, gas, water and wastewater services and auxiliary fees, the DPU has provided the community with these services for more than 50 years.
