SUMMER CONCERT SERIES NEWS

During the December Los Alamos County Council meeting, Councilors unanimously approved Sancre Productions for a four-year contract to produce the 2020-2023 Los
Alamos Summer Concert Series. The contract award comes on the heels of the historic 2019 concert season where newly forged partnerships with tech companies and local businesses brought high caliber, nationally-touring artists to Los Alamos including Leftover Salmon, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Ozomatli.

The Chevel Shepherd concert brought an estimated 8,000 concert attendees to the Ashley Pond Pavilion for what became the largest public concert in Los Alamos history.

In addition to bringing nationally renowned music artists to Ashley Pond, Sancre Productions included youth cultural dance and music performances, opening band
performances, a food truck court, a sponsor tent reception, and a New Mexico craft alcohol beverage garden.

This month, Sancre Productions releases its official 2020 Sponsorship Packet, which lists sponsorship opportunities for the 2020 Concert Series. Business sponsorships support the Los Alamos County contract award to elevate the concert series’ lineup, sound, stage, lighting quality, and opening performances. In return, sponsors receive a robust marketing and advertising package and night of concert benefits.

“The 2019 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series had a tremendously positive economic impact on Los Alamos businesses, boosting sales for several downtown businesses and filling hotels to capacity for a 50-mile radius for some shows” said Ryn Herrmann, director of Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce. “Sancre Productions professionally took the series to the next level and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to  return as a sponsor for the 2020 Series.”

“Part of recruiting and retaining top scientists and engineers from around the world stems from providing worthwhile leisure opportunities outside of the workday,” said Sancre Productions Spokeswoman Monica Griego. “The summer concerts provide real, local, top quality entertainment value for the residents of Los Alamos. We calculated the general admission ticket prices of the 2019 series headlining acts, along with a nominal door fee for some of our opening bands, and determined that the series saved an estimated $2 million in ticket costs to the nearly 50,000 concert attendees who visited Ashley Pond during the series.”

Sancre Productions would again like to thank the 2019 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series Sponsors; and hopes to see them return as series sponsors and attendees: MainStreet Los Alamos, Toyota of Santa Fe, Enterprise Bank & Trust, Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Century Bank, N3B, Pebble Labs, Plateau Property Management, Del Norte Credit Union, Zia Credit Union, Los Alamos Schools Credit Union, SMSI, Rio
Grande Motor Sports, State Farm Agent Loren Valdez and the County of Los Alamos.

Additionally, Sancre Productions would like to thank Russ Gordon and his family for creating the concert series and for his vision of bringing great music to Los Alamos. Sancre Productions, in tandem with the Los Alamos County Community Services Department, looks forward to continuing the tradition of family friendly concerts showcasing world-class music in a great atmosphere.
