LOS ALAMOS MAINSTREET NEWS
Los Alamos MainStreet would like to advise the public and businesses that Central Avenue, between 4th St. and Oppenheimer will be closed from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 in preparation for the Holiday Lights Parade, which runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning at 4 p.m., Los Alamos County will also be blocking parallel parking spaces along Central Ave.
To accommodate parade staging, the three southernmost rows of the County Municipal Building parking lot will be unavailable beginning Saturday morning. Those coming downtown on Saturday for other festivities should be advised to find alternative parking or use the northernmost section of the lot. After 4:30 p.m., all vehicles should use Iris St. to enter and exit the lot, especially those participating in the County tree lighting event at the Municipal Building.
