LAHS OLIONS NEWS

The Los Alamos High School Olions proudly presents Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”, a musical. Show dates are Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23 starting at 7 p.m. in the Duane Smith Auditorium.

When Viola shipwrecks on the shore of Illyria with no sign of her brother, her only opportunity for work is under the Duke of the town, Orsino. Soon, Viola learns Orisino only hires men and decides to disguise herself as a man under the name Cesario. Duke Orsino is in love with a local woman, Olivia, who is mourning the recent loss of her brother. Despite Orisino’s attempts at wooing Olivia, she refuses to take notice of him. However, Oliva soon finds herself falling in love with a new man in town, Cesario, who is actually Viola in disguise. Viola loves Orisino, Orisino loves Olivia, and Oliva loves Cesario, who is Viola. Watch as this hot gossip stirs all of Illyria. This fun, contemporary musical features a variety of musical genres and will leave everyone wondering, who is going to end up with whom.

Cast members include Carly Jelinek as Viola; Elijah Hanks as Orsino; Maya Rogers as Feste; Isaiah Martinez as Malvolio; Olivia Tepley as Olivia; Allie Poague as Maria; Ogden Berry as Antonio; Kezia Tripp as Sebastian; Jackson Bell as Sir Toby Belch; Sam Wolfsberg as Sir Andrew; and Kajsa Drew as Fabian.

The LAHS Olions, the school’s drama club, was started in 1954. The club sponsor is Jason Rutledge.
