The North Central Regional Transit District will sponsor a series of public meetings to get feedback and service enhancement suggestions from its riders.
The NCRTD has brought in independent transportation planners, The KFH Group and Santa Fe based Southwest Planning to conduct 20 public meetings to update its transit service plan and ensure continued safe, secure and efficient service.
A public meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Fuller Lodge, 2132 Central Ave., in Los Alamos. Light refreshments will be served.
More than 294,000 passenger trips were provided by the NCRTD last fiscal year covering more than 10,000 square miles in North Central New Mexico. The routes connect communities and pueblos within Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos counties. The NCRTD provides service to each of the eight northern Pueblos and the Jicarilla Apache Nation.
The public meetings will be held in communities located within the NCRTD service area.
The NCRTD is inviting the public to express their thoughts on route and service enhancements, and how to best meet their needs.
