Small Business Saturday doesn’t happen until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. But if you attend Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet tomorrow, you can get a jump on the Blue Bucks Raffle tickets for a chance to win big cash and prizes!
While trick-or-treating Friday, October 25 between 4:00-6:00 p.m., stop by the Chamber of Commerce/MainStreet table at 190 Central Park Square, behind the Post Office, to pick up your flyer promoting the event. Hang on to this flyer and submit it to any participating business between November 29 and December 6 when you make a purchase of over $25 and you will receive 10 additional raffle tickets. One flyer per family, please.
The Blue Bucks Raffle, again sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust, takes place between Friday, November 29 and Friday, December 6. For every $25 spent at a participating business, shoppers will receive a “Blue Bucks” raffle ticket and a chance to win cash and prizes. Prizes include $500, two $250 prizes and a grand prize of $1,000! There will also be five gift bags, each full of gift cards and merchandise purchased from the participating businesses. This year the business that gives away the winning ticket will also receive a $1,000 prize! The winning tickets will be drawn immediately before the WinterFest Light Parade on Saturday, December 7. Winners need not be present to win.
Small Business Saturday was originally developed by American Express to promote shopping local and was brought to Los Alamos by Cyndi Wells of Pet Pangaea. Now organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Los Alamos MainStreet, it is sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust. Businesses interested in participating should contact Ufemia Bernal Rios at the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce at (505) 661-4807 or ufemia@loslamos.org.
