MVE NEWS

Moving Arts Espanola invites the community to an evening of revelry and remembrance honoring those who have come before and have brought us to where we are today in a Dia de los Muertos-inspired event at 5 p.m.. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Ohkay Owingeh Resort.

There will be festivities for all including a delicious meal, a special screening of MAE’s CNN heroes films, jovial entertainment by MAE’s youth and children, a robust silent auction, a rambunctious live auction and more.

Renowned contemporary bronze and ceramic sculptor Roxanne Swentzell of Santa Clara Pueblo, will be the keynote speaker.

This event will be the most special to date. Link arms with MAE as we raise funds to continue into the future and join the celebration recognizing MAE’s own Roger Montoya as a CNN Hero – one of only 24 in the world.

All funds raised will help bolster MAE Performing Arts, STEAM, Free Healthy Meals, Tutoring and Leadership programs.

The work of MAE has caught the attention of CNN Heroes which showcases everyday people doing extraordinary things to change the world. On Nov. 1 the top ten CNN Heroes will be announced and the CNN Hero of the Year will be announced Dec. 8 in New York City.

Tickets for the gala are $100 for an individual and are available at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/movingartsespanola1/307700
