The League of Women Voters’ monthly community event, Lunch with a Leader, will be October 15, in Mesa Library at 11:45 a.m. Their speaker is Shane Woolbright. Shane received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas. In addition to the numerous municipal government accomplishments, Shane has also served as Chair of the Audubon Society of Central Oklahoma and as a member of numerous environmental groups.

His talk will cover the dangers of global warming that few people have seen nor considered. Before his talk he will spend some time understanding our local utility and its generation resources and Los Alamos’ contributions to pollution and climate change. Then he will discuss local actions and finish with the proposal that affects all New Mexican’s which is growth in population and the climate and economic affects of growth that are not being managed.
