Los Alamos High School

Some 700 students attended the Los Alamos High School Homecoming Dance Saturday evening. The theme was “Meow Wolf” and the decorations were amazing. There were 50 students who worked for hours Saturday morning to decorate.

Dance committee heads were Maddie Ovaska, Ellie Oldham and Sophie Schmidt who even found a fridge for students to walk through. Special thanks go to the Auto Students for remodeling the back.

There were many glow-in-the-dark elements and there was lots of dancing. Grace Xie, Elise Ovaska and Allie Poague painted the photo booth backdrop in just two hours. Special thanks to LAHS art teacher mary Grace for her creative design.

This was the most students we’ve ever had buy tickets and attend the dance. The school was rocking!

Jon Lathrop and I are so proud of our students’ commitment to making Homecoming incredible for everyone. We have worked so hard the last four years to turn Student Council and Student Leadership into a dynamic group who gives back to LAHS.  Every year we put on the bonfire, pep rally, parade and dance.

We thank everyone for their support. And now we need a long nap!
