Ellen Ben-Naim To Address Voices Of Los Alamos Monday

Voices of Los Alamos will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dept. 23 at the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos, 1738 N. Sage Loop.
Updates and announcements will include Dan Erickson, Parks, Recreation and Open Space manager, with a brief update on the capital improvement projects (CIP).
Speaker for the event is Ellen Ben-Naim, Los Alamos School Board president and manager of the First Born Program of Los Alamos who will present on the school bond and board election on Nov. 5.

Ben-Naim has lived in Los Alamos since 1996 and has been active in the community both professionally and as a volunteer. She began her tenure as the Program Manager of the First Born Program of Los Alamos last May. She was elected to the School Board in 2017 and is currently Vice President of the board.

Prior to this, Ben-Naim served as Program Coordinator for JJAB from 2012–2016. Her previous positions include Children’s Books Buyer and Community Liaison for Otowi Station Bookstore, Religious School Director of the Los Alamos Jewish Center and Case Manager for the Interfaith Recovery Network following the Cerro Grande Fire.
Ben-Naim is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership Los Alamos. In a professional capacity and as a volunteer, she has served on numerous committees in the community and the schools including the LAPS School Bond Committee, LAPS Mental Health Design Team, the Community Health Council and the Library Board.
