Michael Paul Dugan

Michael Paul Dugan was born on Sept. 27, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the second of what would become seven children of Paul and Colette Dugan. The family eventually moved to Los Alamos and Mike became known as the one who could fix anything. He took great pleasure in helping family and friends with challenging fix-it projects, always with creative solutions.

Mike joined the U.S. Navy upon graduation from high school and served in Guam during the Viet Nam Era.  Upon his return, he married Mary Waldschmidt.  Mike and Mary settled in Los Alamos and had two children, Timothy and Jennifer (Crane). He worked for the Los Alamos National Laboratories for 41 years as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician. He enjoyed boating and taught many people how to water ski.  He was always willing to share a beer and a sandwich on those boating trips!

Mike is survived by the mother of his children, Mary Dugan; his children Tim (Jenny) and Jennifer (Lawrence); his sisters Mary Anne Dugan, Cathy Majerus (Pat), and Eileen Waldschmidt (Mike); his brothers Pat, John and David Dugan; and his grandchildren Cody and Sabrina Crane; Dillon, Travis, Matthew, Jason, Emily, and Kelsey Dugan. Mike was preceded in death by his granddaughter Megan Colette Dugan, beloved daughter of Tim and Jenny. Mike loved his family and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at French Funerals and Cremations, Rio Rancho, New Mexico at 9:00 am September 13, 2019. A reception will follow at A Park Above, 2441 Westside Court NE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
