ROTARY NEWS
Rotary Club of Los Alamos recently sponsored a Pizza and Peace event during lunch at L: Los Alamos High School (LAHS) during lunch. The school district’s food service prepared 30 pizzas for the activity, and local Rotarians and the Club’s Distinguished Students
of Service told students about Interact and the individual service projects they have proposed.
As youth service organizations, Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self, Rotary’s motto. Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. For more information about LAHS Interact, please contact Alison Pannell, 505.570.0629.
