James Carothers is known for his stone-country originals, spot-on impressions of several of country’s greatest icons, character band mates and a large fan base of fiercely supportive followers who love real country music.

Carothers is listed as one of Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know: October 2018” and is currently touring with County Hall of Famer Alan Jackson.  In 2018 Ameripolitan nominated Carothers for “2018 Outlaw Male.” He has opened for Trace Adkins, The Charlie Daniels Band, Dustin Lynch, Cody Johnson, William Michael Morgan, Ben Haggard, Joe Diffie, A Thousand Horses and The Kentucky Headhunters.

The concert is sponsored by Plateau Property Management and New Mexico Bank & Trust. In 2015, James left a technician job at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and returned to his native state of Tennessee to pursue a country music career at the unlikely ripe-old-age of 33. Since then, he has performed over 1200 shows at The George Jones & other venues throughout downtown Nashville.

Friday’s Opening Band features Escape on A Horse. The band is the collaborative effort of musicians Daniel Jaramillo, Allisyn Stanfield, Andrew Stocker and David Fellenz who met and convened in Northern New Mexico. Between lead songwriter Jaramillo’s rootsy approach and the multi-instrumentalist/Vocalist Stanfield’s talents, they have created a congruous union over top the solid rhythm foundation brought by Stocker and Fellenz. Escape on a Horse has developed an eclectic blend of Alt-country mixed with a smattering of soul and rock that’s not without their own brand of wry humor.

Escape on a Horse performs from  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. James Carothers performs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

We are proud to present hometown beloved James Carothers as our Season Finale Concert. We could not have put together such an incredible line-up without the support of Los Alamos County and local businesses.”

As its final concert in the Series, the Sancre Productions team is working in tandem with various Los Alamos County Departments to ensure public safety, ADA accommodations, free parking and shuttle services and a diverse offering of Food Truck Vendors.
