Los Alamos Police Cmdr. Preston Ballew and Sgt. Chris Ross recently graduated from the prestigious Northwestern Executive Management Program.
This three-week program, the third in a series of law enforcement leadership programs, provides the policy-making executive with an opportunity to examine in-depth topics affecting leaders and organizations in today’s changing law enforcement environment.
The program is led by experienced practitioners and presented as a series of topical workshops. Together participants question, examine and analyze critical issues shaping the law enforcement environment.
Topics include policy development, officer wellness, ethics, legal updates, information technology, and critical incident command to name a few.
With this program, Sgt. Ross has completed all three programs and will be rewarded with an Executive Leadership Award from Northwestern.
Los Alamos Police Chief Sgambellone said, “The Department’s supervisory staff continue to receive excellent leadership training designed to improve the operational capacity of our Department while enhancing our overall service delivery to the community. I am proud of Preston and Chris for investing in their professional development, which will pay dividends within the community for years to come.”
